Para 12 - وَ مَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

11.91

قَالُوْا یٰشُعَیْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِیْرًا مِّمَّا تَقُوْلُ وَ اِنَّا لَنَرٰىكَ فِیْنَا ضَعِیْفًاۚ-وَ لَوْ لَا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنٰكَ٘-وَ مَاۤ اَنْتَ عَلَیْنَا بِعَزِیْزٍ(91)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Imaan

They said, 'O Shu'ayb! We do not understand much of what you say, and we indeed perceive you as weak amongst us. And were it not for your tribe, we would have therefore stoned you; and in our sight, you have no respect at all.'

Commentary

In our era, those who are averse to Islamic rulings, such as the unlawfulness of usury, the duty of veiling, or fulfilling the rights of Allah Almighty through ritual worship, should compare their words and actions to that of Prophet Shuʿayb’s nation. Are these critics not following the way of this disbelieving nation?
